Fear of Retribution grading...

At the end of last year at uni a few of us (led by Ed Barton) made a short film entitled 'Fear of Retribution'... I did the grading for the film. Considering I hadn't really done any grading before I was pretty happy with how I did. Got a book out, found a website and cained the revising and practicing!! Here are a few still from the finished grade.

So I got bored and decided to draw some unhappy faces on peices of loo roll.

Really not sure why I decided to do this! Thought that loo roll probably has a pretty naff deal of it and would more than likely look less than impressed (if it had facial features). Then I tried my hand at some other graphicy stuff and edited them a bit in Photoshop. Here are a few of them.

Thought I'd experiment with a bit of hand drawn stop frame animation...

Spent my spare time recently experimenting with doing a stop frame animation. It's not really 'finished', not surewhat 'constitutes' finished... I just come back to it now and then when I've got a bit of spare time.

Some posters for Topshop

Another A-Level project here... a promotional campaign for Topshop / Topman. Wanted to convey the idea of fun and playfulness... Think I was fed up with models always looking so serious.

Part of a marketing project

This is from years ago now! But I like it so it goes up. The idea was to create a brand for a clothing company and create some promotional material for said brand... These are a few photos of the point of sale display I made which I was pretty happy with - shame it got broken!

This is a video I made a couple of years back... An alternative music video for the Fatboy Slim song 'Gangster Tripping'. Stop-frame animation using coloured card and bodged equipment (a really old stills compact digital camera, a camera stand made out of a few pieces of wood, and a small bedside lamp)! Pretty happy with how it worked out, but obviously there's loads of things I'd change if I was to do it again... Have been planning on remaking it for ages but took hours and hours and hours and I don't have the long school summer anymore! Anyway it's got over a million hits on YouTube so I guess it's alright!
